Kashi Vishwanath is the Lord Shiva temple which is a oldest temple in the world. This is located in the Viswanath Gali in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh. There is one Lord Shiva jyotirling out of 12 jyotirling of Shiva. 
Vishwanath is actually the name of Lord Shiva and in ensign time that place is known as Kasi that's why this is famous as Kashi Vishwanath temple.

Meaning of Vishwanath is The Lord of universe. The original Temple aadi visheshwar was demolished by Mohammed Ghor . In 1780 this was recreated by the ahilyabai Holkar.
• in 1835 it was gold plated by Maharaja Ranjeet Singh and the sikh Empire .

• In 2021 Kashi Vishwanath corridor made by prime minister Narendra Modi.

Jyotirlinga :

This jyotirling is self manifested. There is 12 self manifested jyotirling of Lord Shiva.
At all this manifested sites the primary images lingam which represents beginning less and endless stambh pillar symbolising the infinite nature of  Lord Shiva.

History of Kashi Vishwanath Temple 

In skand Puran and Brahma vyavart Puran represents Kashi Vishwanath Temple
As per skand Puran there is 1099 temples out of which 513 are only lord shiva temple.

Kashi Vishwanath lingam is situated in the garbh grah innermost sanctuary.

Bank of Ganga river: 

This temple is located at the bank of Ganga river . Varanasi is the holiest city of Hindus. Kashi Vishwanath was recognised as most important place for the worship of Lord Shiva.
Those people who come here worship Lord shiva and bath in Ganga river get moksh or liberation. And get the right path of their life. Here everyone can feel spirituality divine peace and worship.

Ganga Aarti 

Everyday there is performing Ganga Aarti at evening time 8:00 pm . This view is very amazing . Being a part of Ganga aarti is  very spiritual. Thousands on lakhs of people do Ganga aarti together .
